Total Expenditure for the given period = 4+6+12+10+8+12 = 52 Lakhs
Profit for the Given Period = 70-52 = Rs. 18 Lakhs
Average annual profit = (18/6)Lakhs = 3 Lakhs

Ans:- Choice 2.

Question 2:

By observation we can say that the income in 2003 is nearly twice the income in 2002.
In the remaining years the income is less than 1.5 times of the previous year.

Ans:- Choice 1.

Question 3:

In the year 2002, income = 10 Lakhs.
Expendature = Rs. 8 Lakhs
Profit = 10 - 8 = 2 Lakhs
If the profit is increased by 40%, new profit in 2004 =(2)(140/100) = 2.8 Lakhs.
For increase in profit by 0.8 lakhs, reduction in expenditure = 0.8 Lakhs
Percent of reduction in expenditure = (0.8/8)(100)% = 10%
